Fishing Derby • June 20

Saturday, June 20 • 8-11 am

This is the perfect opportunity to introduce kids to this relaxing recreational pastime. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Need a pole? Borrow one from Irons Oaks. Need bait? Worms will be available. The derby is a tribute to former H-F Park District Commissioner, the late William McDowell, whose family continues to spread his love of fishing and donates our grand prize bike.
No fishing permits are required. The IDNR has waived the fishing license for the weekend of the event, and the H-F Park District has waived the fishing permit as well.
