Spend your summer outdoors building leadership and outdoor skills, learning about the environment and of course having fun. Each week will include a field trip

2022 Nature Kids Camp

Spend your summer outside, exploring nature, adventuring and meeting new friends. Come play and learn with us as each week includes activities in art, STEM, exploration and building community.

June 6-10 : NKC Kick Off
Kick the summer off right in the great outdoors. Meet new friends while learning how to enjoy the outdoors, from what to wear to how weather works!

June 13-17: Dirt Detectives
If it involves dirt, chances are we will have our hands in it this week. From insect studies to composting and soil sifting, we will detect what’s to be found in the ground.

June 20-24: Color Color Everywhere
Did you ever wonder why nature is awash with so much color? This week, campers will investigate how nature displays her colors in camouflage and mimicry as well as for defense and attraction.

June 27- July 1: Green Up
Humans are not the only ones who recycle! Learn how nature recycles and what we can do to take care of our planet all while having fun.

July 5-8: Pioneer Life
It’s way-back week at Irons Oaks! Campers will get hands-on experience with daily life as it was lived by our pioneer ancestors.

July 11-15: Nature As The
Come enjoy a week of creativity as we make a pairing of nature and the arts. Each day, campers will explore ways nature and the arts intersect. “Nature as the…. Instrument… Canvas… and more.

July 18-22: Watery World
The heat is on, and so are our refreshing water week activities. Campers will be playing with water and learning the different ways water is a crucial part of our natural world. Come prepared to get wet!

July 25-29: Animal Mania
Are you an animal lover? Then this is the camp week for you. Activities, games and crafts will all feature the animal kingdom—especially those creatures who make their homes here at Irons Oaks. We will also spend a day talking about the “human” animal.

Aug. 1-5: Challenge Accepted
Do you accept the final challenge? This week campers will focus on learning survivor skills and have fun with different challenges each day: obstacle courses, climbing tower and more!
